This Chenrezig is 20.5 x 27" with a 1" aubergine color border (not shown). The mantra Om Mane Padme Hum graces the top of the painting along with a sweet Lord Buddha. This beautiful masterwork is a very special piece and one of the curator's favorites!
Chenrezig is also known as Avalokitesvara, "One who looks with unwavering eye. " He is the most revered of all Bodhisattvas and embodys the compassion of all Buddhas. He listens to the prayers of all sentient beings in times of challenge and difficulty.
